Position Overview: As a Die Cutter Operator, you will be responsible for operating the Die Cutter machine and ensuring high-quality output in the folding carton industry. Your role will encompass troubleshooting machine operations, performing make-ready tasks, and overseeing technicians to maintain efficient production processes.


Compensation: Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $52,000 to $72,800, commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this pivotal role.


Key Responsibilities:

Operations:

  • Operate and monitor the Die Cutter machine to ensure optimal performance.
  • Prepare the Die Cutter for production by adjusting die and register settings.
  • Perform make-ready tasks to guarantee productivity and precision, resolving defects as necessary.
  • Oversee general technicians to ensure rapid and efficient setup, unloading, and loading materials.


Quality Assurance:

  • Review jobs for quality and accuracy, ensuring completion with zero errors.
  • Ensure that finished products meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Support and communicate ISO standards and quality objectives.
  • Comply with cGMP, HACCP Food Safety Requirements, and Chain of Custody Program Requirements.


Safety:

  • Adhere to OHSE policies and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for hazardous materials.
  • Utilize company-provided safety equipment and maintain proper attire.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety in all work areas.

  • Communicate accurately and professionally with coworkers and supervisors.

Leadership:

  • Regularly communicate with the team regarding goals and provide constructive feedback.


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma (or GED).
  • Minimum of 3 years of Die Cutting experience in the folding carton industry.
  • Experience with die cutters that have blanking capability.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills for computations.


Desired Skills: 

  • Familiarity with advanced die-cutting technologies.
  • Experience in a supervisory role.


Technical Skills: 

  • Knowledge of ISO quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in maintenance procedures for die-cutting machinery.
