They are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Coordinator (RN) to lead and maintain the smooth operations of the Med/Surg unit in the absence of the Director. This is an exciting opportunity to join a healthcare team committed to person-centered, evidence-based care.

Position Overview:
The Clinical Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Medical-Surgical unit, ensuring high standards of nursing care are maintained. This role involves supervising licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel and supporting the department’s goals. The Coordinator will act as a resource to the Med/Surg team and assist the Department Director with budgeting and daily operations. You will also be responsible for direct patient care when necessary, in addition to leadership duties.

Compensation:
Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $83,000 to $87,000, commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this pivotal role.


Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 with a 2-year commitment


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume leadership responsibility in the absence of the Director of Med/Surg.
  • Provide direction and support to team members, ensuring optimal nursing care standards.
  • Supervise licensed and non-licensed nursing staff within the Med/Surg unit.
  • Assist the Department Director in managing the department’s budget and operations.
  • Serve as a resource for the Med/Surg team, offering guidance and support.
  • Ensure high-quality patient care services are consistently delivered.
  • Work variable shifts as required to maintain unit operations.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed, utilizing the full nursing process.


Qualifications:

  • Current Alabama Registered Nurse licensure required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • De-escalation training to be completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience required.
  • At least 2 years of charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.


Technical Skills:

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform clinical assessments and interventions effectively.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and resource management in a healthcare setting.


Certifications:

  • BLS – Required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS – Required within 12 months of hire.
  • PALS – Required within 12 months of hire.
  • TNCC – Required within 2 years of hire.
