Surgical Technologist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Surgical Technologist (CST) for our client, located in Lewiston, ID, 83501. The work hours are from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Compensation:
Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $52,000 – $78,000, commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this pivotal role.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a key member of the sterile team during various surgical procedures.
Prepare the operating room by opening supplies, performing surgical scrubs, and setting up necessary equipment.
Assist in draping and establishing sterile fields.
Anticipate the surgeon’s needs by passing instruments, sutures, and other essential items.
Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to strict aseptic techniques.
Conduct needle and sponge counts in collaboration with the circulating nurse.
Participate in the on-call rotation with other staff members, receiving $4.00/hour on call and a minimum of 2 hours of pay at time and a half if called to work.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist course.
Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) is preferred at the time of employment, required within 6 months of hire.
At least 2-3 years of acute care hospital-based operating room experience (Ortho, Neuro & General Surgery).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
In-depth knowledge of surgical principles, procedures, and sterile techniques.
