Compensation and Benefits:
Our client recognizes the value of your expertise and offers a competitive compensation package between $145,000 and $155,000, reflecting your experience, education, certifications, and skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Capital Projects: Manage projects from initial funding approval to completion, with budgets exceeding $1Million, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Innovate for Efficiency: Identify and develop creative solutions aimed at enhancing energy efficiency, aligned with DPW energy reduction goals.
- Enhance Reliability: Execute projects that bolster the reliability of the plant’s electrical distribution network while minimizing risks.
- Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring adherence to planned expenditures and delivering tasks as scheduled, culminating in formal project closeout reports.
- Ensure Compliance: Uphold engineering standards in accordance with NEC/NFPA/IEEE guidelines throughout all project phases.
- Direct Field Activities: Coordinate with designers, maintenance teams, and contractors during field construction and manage electrical power outages, resolving operational challenges as they arise.
- Lead Recovery Efforts: Provide expert guidance during power outages, engaging in failure analysis and leading teams to identify root causes and solutions.
- Support Major Projects: Offer technical leadership and commissioning support for significant capital projects that enhance energy efficiency and improve the distribution network.
- Identify Energy Efficiency Initiatives: Collaborate with local power companies to secure rebates for energy efficiency projects.
- Conduct Studies: Manage arc flash and short circuit studies as per DPW standards, addressing any issues through capital or expense measures as necessary.
- Flexibility Required: While this is primarily a first-shift role, occasional off-shift hours and weekend support may be required to ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3 years in project management, skilled in developing scope, specifications, and technical designs.
- Basic understanding of medium voltage power distribution.
Desired Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
- Familiarity with energy management systems and energy auditing.
- Knowledge of renewable energy integration and smart grid technology.
Desired Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
